Walker, Texas
Ranger aired on CBS from April 1993 through
May 2001 and
consisted of 202 episodes over 9 seasons. A made-for-television movie
based on the series aired in 2005.
The series starred Chuck Norris as Cordell Walker, a Texas Ranger and
martial arts expert, who fights crime in Dallas and elsewhere in the state of
Texas. His partner, former Dallas Cowboy Jimmy Trivette (played by
Clarence Gilyard), typically
takes the high-tech approach in contrast to Walker's
"personal" style.
Note: Walker, Texas Ranger was originally ordered as a mid-season
replacement; both this "first season" and its second full
season
are combined on the Season One DVD. The DVDs are being released out of
order.
