One of the best sitcoms of the 1970s and 1980s was Barney Miller. Hal Linden starred as Captain Barney Miller whose police precinct was filled with an outstanding ensemble cast of characters.

The series aired on ABC from January 1975 through May 1982 and included 170 episodes over 8 seasons and was originally titled The Life and Times of Barney Miller.
